Rafal Bujnowski - Negative painting

'Milena' is a painting made with the use of reverse color palette. Rafal Bujnowski, artist from Poland, realized it in 2005. The proper image should be developed by the viewer's imagination, or by taking a photograph and reversing it into negative, you can see it after the jump.

  6. This is really cool. I like the picture of him holding it up with the negative filter over it, and the picture's colors are perfect. This guy really knows his color theory.

  13. Simple but clever, I hope he did it just going off of his knowledge of color and color theory, and not by copying a negative photo (which would be disappointing).

  19. Although the negative effect is common in digital art, I had never seen it in paintings. I think it's an impressive painting and a very good idea.
